Warehouse Associate

J. Thor Productions, Inc. is a leader in production for live events. We provide audio, video, lighting, and staging. We are highly skilled, highly motivated, and most importantly, we like to have fun. We are also a growing business and there are a lot of exciting things happening. 

We are currently looking for warehouse associates. 

The Role: ​

 

We are seeking self-motivated individuals to be part of our warehouse team. The candidates have an audio-visual background in live events, inventory control experience, a strong work ethic, and are able to clearly and concisely follow procedures and manage simultaneous priorities in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for people that can think beyond a list and make suggestions when necessary to benefit the success of the event. 

As a warehouse associate your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Be able to pull/pack/prep and return of all orders utilizing a cloud based inventory control system (barcode scan). Computer skills are important as we are a technology based company that operators numerous applications on both PC and MAC. 

  • Ensure orders are pulled, packed, shipped and returned at all times accurately and efficiently 

  • Work with project manager to ensure proper substitution on shortages 

  • Receive sub-rented items into order to ensure fulfillment

  • Create shipping manifest

  • Load/unload trucks

  • Maintain positive healthy relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers. 

  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse area at all times

  • Support the missions and culture of J. Thor Productions, Inc. 

 

 

 

Getting Through the Door:

  • Audio visual background a plus

  • Warehouse skills

  • Multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance

  • Ability to spend 100% of work time standing or moving in 30,000 square foot warehouse

  • Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis

  • Professional verbal skills, attitude and passion to learn

  • Ability to communicate and interact with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds

  • Experience in planning, time management, collaboration, decisions making, and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy and patience

  • Positive, people-orientated atmosphere

  • Clean driving record - ability to drive 12' - 26' trucks comfortable is preferred

  • Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts is preferred. If you currently don't have this skill set, we can teach you, but  you must be willing to learn and operate the equipment safety

Job Type: Full-time

Hours of operation: 9am – 6pm is the basic work day, however in this business additional hours are often required. Must be willing to work some nights and weekends to ensure that orders are prepped and shipped as required.

 

Salary: Depends on experience
